Elena Christodoulidou

Elena Christodoulidou is dancer, choreographer, teacher, director of Dance Waves| Moving Images Videodance Festival. She studied dance in Greece, UK and USA. She founded Amfidromo Chorotheatro dance company in 2002. Her works reflect strongly her belief for the post politics role of art in contemporary era so they are connected with the sociopolitical issues coming from her divided small country, Cyprus. She is a founding member of Dance Lab Nicosia, a non-profit organization for the support , development and mobility of contemporary dance artists. She created Egomio Cultural Centre in 2013 out of her need for a rehearsal, performance, research and a meeting place for Cypriot and international artists.
