Gerda König

Gerda König initiated 1995 DIN A 13 tanzcompany and has staged productions as artistic director that appear at international dance festivals. Her work is shaped by the vision to use the quality of movement of “other bodies” in order to develop new aesthetic approaches for contemporary dance. In continuous artistic engagement with cultural realities and politically conditioned circumstances, she pursues a choreographic research approach that gives her choreographies an unmistakable signature.
