
Philippe Buquet began his career as a resident in Nîmes, accompanying the career of several theater teams as administrator, actor, carried out various missions for artistic institutions in the region (CDN Béziers / Montpellier, T.N. la Criée Marseille). In 1982, on a commission from the city of Nîmes, for the city's bi-millennium celebrations, he was in charge of coordinating an artistic and cultural action project bringing together various theater teams, an author, Christian Liger , a director, Stuart Seide and various associations. Between 1983 and 1993, he was administrator of the Théâtre du Réfectoire then, in 1987, of the Théâtre de Lyon under the direction of Jean Louis Martinelli, then from 1994 to 2000 administrator of the Strasbourg National Theater under the direction of Jean Louis Martinelli. Between November 2000 and December 2001, he was appointed Director (transitional) of the Rond-Point theater in Paris and finally Director of L’Espace des Arts - Scène nationale Chalon-sur-Saône from January 2002 to December 2019.
