The motif of the ‘doppelganger’ is both irritating and fascinating at the same time: his appearance confounds the boundaries between oneself and others. The ‘doppelganger’  questions concepts of similarity and difference, problematizes the subject and its identity. This piece was originally danced as a solo for two women synchronous in two parallel worlds and will now be performed by two male dancers of her current ensemble. »isson« means ‘same’ in Greek and is dedicated to contrasts, reality and illusion, light and shadows, restlessness and peace. isson – a solo for two men

The creation of Citerne.live by Omar Rajeh and Mia Habis establishes a perspective on how we could also access dance-making in the future - across borders, without traveling and even with limited resources. In the face of the Corona pandemic, these possibilities became even more urgent. La Maison de Crémant was very excited to be part of this exploration of possibilities which are a sign of resilience towards the Virus crisis. Sadly, this same virus that we wanted to fight proved to be more powerful than myself - but only momentarily. Sadly, I have to cancel our participation at BIPOD on Saturday. But remember that giving up today only means creating a new opportunity in the future. Stay tuned! - Jochen Roller                                      From our side we want to assure Jochen that “We hear you well and we support you in your decision. On a personal and professional level, and through the many editions of BIPOD in Beirut, we had to fight a different kind of virus that is violent, corrupted, and careless about human feelings and their everyday life. We had to be silent and resilient in our own way but we continued in our work and values. We are sure that this cancellation is temporary and our relationship, our conversations, our care to each other will allow us to be with you very soon in the future, for many  artistic proposals.

La création de Citerne.live par Omar Rajeh et Mia Habis établit une perspective sur la façon dont nous pourrions également accéder à la danse à l'avenir - à travers les frontières, sans voyager et même avec des ressources limitées. Face à la pandémie Corona, ces possibilités sont devenues encore plus urgentes. La Maison de Crémant était très enthousiaste à l'idée de faire partie de cette exploration des possibles signe de résilience face à la crise du Virus. Malheureusement, ce même virus que nous voulions combattre s'est avéré plus puissant que moi - mais seulement momentanément. Malheureusement, je dois annuler notre participation au BIPOD samedi. Mais rappelez-vous qu'abandonner aujourd'hui signifie simplement créer une nouvelle opportunité dans le futur. Restez à l'écoute! - Jochen Roller 

De notre côté, nous voulons assurer à Jochen que «Nous vous entendons bien et nous vous soutenons dans votre décision. Sur le plan personnel et professionnel, et à travers les nombreuses éditions du BIPOD à Beyrouth, nous avons dû lutter contre un autre type de virus qui est violent, corrompu et insouciant sur les sentiments humains et leur vie quotidienne. Nous devions être silencieux et résiliants à notre manière, mais nous avons continué dans notre travail et nos valeurs. Nous sommes sûrs que cette annulation est temporaire et que notre relation, nos conversations, notre attention les uns envers les autres nous permettront d'être à vos côtés très prochainement, pour de nombreuses propositions artistiques.

From this page you can also access the individual city pages to discover other previous and future events that are, or were, programmed in the city. This pages highlights the full program of a festival or program and maintain its artistic vision and focus. Users will be able to access the festivals or specific programs and discover the performances, workshops, talks, and other activities of a festival or a cultural institution.

Each person mentioned on the Platform will have an individual page with a short biography and links to the artistic events, workshops, talks that s/he participated in. Not only artists are highlighted but also the wider community of people working around a performance, event or festival.
