
Lorenzo Pappagallo is a French-Italian curator and cultural manager with extensive international experience. He is curator and international projects officer at Fabbrica Europa (Florence), where he drives cooperation, contemporary creation support and artistic mobility programmes between Italy, Europe and other regions of the world. He is also Artistic Director of the ESCENA PATRIMONIO International Dance Festival (Spanish World Heritage Cities Group – UNESCO), Dance Curator for dFERIA – International Performing Arts Fair in San Sebastián, and Head of International Relations for Évora 27 – European Capital of Culture (Portugal). He has worked as curator and creative producer for festivals and cultural centres in Spain, including Festival de Otoño, Teatro Español and the Almagro International Classical Theatre Festival, and internationally for Wiener Festwochen, GIFT Festival in Tbilisi, BoCA Biennial in Lisbon, KVS in Brussels and Actoral in Marseille, among others. He holds a degree in Translation and Interpreting and postgraduate qualifications in Cultural Project Management and International Relations from universities in France, the United Kingdom, Germany and Spain. A regular mentor and guest lecturer on curation and festival management, he focuses on the internationalisation and decentralisation of the performing arts, with particular attention to residencies as a tool to support emerging talent.
