Selim Ben Safia
Choreographer, dancer and artistic director of the Tunisian association "Al Badil - the Cultural Alternative" which aims to widen access to art and culture, promote emerging artists and support Tunisian cultural managers. Reaching out to the world and promoting artistic exchanges between countries are at the heart of Selim Ben Safia's concerns. Since 2019, he has launched the Archipel program in Tunisia, which federates and builds sustainable trajectories between structures and territories in a principle of back and forth. In 2022 Selim Ben Safia is appointed director of the international festival "Les Journées Chorégraphique de Carthage". The same year, he prepares his new creation, El Botonnière, with five Tunisian artists. The premiere is scheduled for France in the fall of 2022.
AL BADIL
Al Badil - The cultural alternative is an association operating since 2013 and aiming to broaden the scope of cultural actions to the entire Tunisian territory, in order to provide citizens and artists with new cultural and artistic alternatives. Its activities are divided into four areas: artistic creation, artists management, training in cultural management and the implementation of cultural events such as Hors-Lits Tunisie, the Festival des premières chorégraphiques, A petit Pas, Nos ruralités.
