Denis Plassard

After training in classical and contemporary dance at the CNSMD in Lyon and following a brief career as a performer (with Josette Baïz), Denis Plassard created his first solo piece, Propos, in 1990. Which would give its name to the company he founded the following year. He earned his Diplôme d'Etat in contemporary dance in 1991. For over 30 years, he has been a choreographer and dancer with Cie Propos. Over the years, he has built up a vast repertoire of shows for the company that defy trends, blending acting, text, and humor. Alongside these stage ventures, Denis Plassard has developed original artistic projects centered on photography (Hors Sol, photo novels), sound design (audio guides, audio-guided warm-ups, indoor radio tours…), and game (La clinique du docteur D). Since the beginning of the Cie Propos adventure, he has nurtured a passion for sharing and inventing audience engagement processes, with the aim of making dance accessible to everyone. He is regularly invited by other theater companies (CDN de Valence, Théâtre Craie, Turak, Raskine & Cie), circus troupes (Virevolt, CNAC, Rasposo, Cie SoLau), music ensembles (Ensemble Boréades), and dance companies (Käfig, Panthera Ballet Kazan, Russia).
