Elise Bruyère
Elise is a contemporary dancer and performer from Belgium. After graduating from the Conservatorium of Antwerp, she started her career as a freelance dancer.
In New-York she joined and established a strong partnership with the dance company BAIRA | MVMNT PHLSPHY. In Europe, she has since collaborated among others with Valentina Nigro (Company Noi), Nawal Aït Benala (Cie LaBaraka) and Johana Malédon (Cie
Since 2019, she has joined and been a part of Omar Rajeh’s company Maqamat. As a dancer for « Cent mille façons de parler » and « Dance people » and has an assistant choreographer for his work with the Tunisian opera ballet.
She created and performed her own work « Gasp » and « Ici commence la mer » in several theaters in Belgium and is currently a contemporary dance teacher and choreographer in the royal conservatory of Liège.

Maqamat
Maqamat is a dance company that was established in Beirut in 2002 by Omar Rajeh and moved to Lyon in 2020 in the perspective of developing its creative and cultural projects in France and internationally. It played a major role in the organization, creation and establishment of a contemporary dance scene in Lebanon and the region. It has founded major dance projects such as BIPOD-Beirut International Platform of Dance, Takween, an intensive training program, Moultaqa Leymoun, a showcase platform supporting artists from different Arab countries and more recently the digital platform Citerne.live.
