Sophie Laly

Sophie Laly, director and video artist born in 1973, lives and works in Paris. During her studies at the National School of Fine Arts in Dijon, the camera quickly became her tool. In 1998, two encounters will turn up side down her artistic work: contemporary dance and deserts. She has collaborated as a videographer with Emmanuelle Huynh, Rachid Ouramdane, Richad Siegal and Latifa Laâbissi ... Since 2008, she collaborates regularly with Christian Rizzo, assists him on his plays, and co-signs the Néo-fiction play in 2012, as well as D’après nature in 2018. In 2013, she directed the documentary film Des enfants based on the children's play by Boris Charmatz. In 2017, at the invitation of Mickaël Phelippeau, she directed Taper dans la balle, a film designed as an extension to her show Footballeuses.
